That’s a shameful commentary! I think that most C&W performers are decent people. Most of them stay married to their original spouses and aren’t out bed hopping like most of the rest of the “entertainers” today. The problem is that those who aren’t are the noisy ones. C&W music is the only music that’s truly American.
Yep, I was in a group that produced two Country Gospel albums/cds. Ours were COUNTRY. We sold pretty good in a certain market years ago. Today no one under 60 would buy them :)
About the only thing left reminiscent of the original country sound, is bluegrass. Like Larry Sparks’ group, for instance, his songs, most of which he wrote himself, are old southern ballads, and songs reflecting his deep Christian faith.
