I have a friend who has travelled to Russia several times in years past on official government business. He and I both voted for Trump, and we have colluded to discuss politics. I’m surprised I’ve not been subpoenaed.

From the article, Nunberg sounds like a dipwad idiot:

The Russians and Trump did not collude,” Nunberg said. “Putin is too smart to collude with Donald Trump.”

“I’m not spending 80 hours going over my emails with Roger Stone and Steve Bannon and producing them,” Nunberg said. “Donald Trump won this election on his own. He campaigned his ass off. And there is nobody who hates him more than me.”

Nunberg repeated his vow to not cooperate with Mueller in a Monday afternoon interview on MSNBC, where he also suggested that the prosecutor may have evidence against Trump.

“I think they may,” Nunberg said. “I think that he may have done something during the election.”

He has integrity?

Civil contempt charges may test that integrity. This guy also just went on CNN and said “Trump very well may have done something with the Russians.”

I think contempt charges will be pretty sticky in the face of that.

Sort of a Thomas More moment?

The Guy in the Chinese square?

Patrick Henry?

Abuse of the prosecutorial process?

Where is Sessions?.

The law is not the law when it is unjust on its face or unjust in the use.

IMO this use of the law makes those giants of the law from Antigone to Coke to Scalia to Gorsuch (please God) cringe. It offends the higher law.

he was with the campaign very early on and fired just as fast for allegedly racist posts - circa end of July 2015. (Trump first announced June 16, 2015)
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/trump-campaign-staffer-sam-nunberg-fired-after-racist-facebook-posts-n402756

Hasn’t been around since. In an interview he said that the DOJ was trying to get him to testify that Stone colluded with Assange (!). I assume that was the gist of his previous questioning, lasting some 5 hours.

As a gal on Fox said, people want to cooperate but they are being bankrupted into doing so because they all have to hire top-shelf attorneys and they’re not getting reimbursed.

Nunberg forwarded an email listed as coming from the office of special counsel Robert S. Mueller III seeking his appearance in front of the panel on Friday.

Nope I didn't read the whole story (won't give Wapo the hit) but he got the subpoena through email????

The feds try to trip you up, then charge you with making a false statement. No way I’d testify - I’d plead the 5th knowing anything I said could be twisted against me. Then if they offer me full transactional immunity for anything I did after my first birthday, I’d take it and then explain I don’t recall enough to testify with any certainty at this time.

I see you’ve paid attention to the Scooter Libby and Martha Stewart cases.
