Marine Le Pen, the leader of France’s far-right Front National, has been charged over photographs she tweeted showing gruesome images of purported atrocities by Islamic State.
The move by a judge in Nanterre on Thursday came after the national assembly voted in November to strip Le Pen of her parliamentary immunity over the three photos posted in 2015.

“Daesh is this!” Le Pen wrote in a caption, using an Arabic acronym for Isis, in response to a TV journalist drawing a comparison between the extremists and the French far right.

Le Pen's National Front has some unsavory elements, to be sure. But it is also a threat to the French establishment. So Le Pen must be neutralized.
Meanwhile the slow Islamic infiltration of France continues.
“I am being charged for having condemned the horrors of Daesh,” Le Pen told the news agency AFP. “In other countries this would have earned me a medal.”
Charged for showing the truth. Truth is illegal. Jesus would be crucified in a second if he stepped foot in France.

I noticed that as well. Before posting, I did I quick search about this story. Almost every source I found labelled Le Pen “far right”. So, yeah, it’s not just the Guardian. It’s modern journalism. They gotta insert their opinions into everything.
But it is funny how none of them brand Bernie Sanders as “far left”.
The pics were posted 3 years ago. Western culture is under siege from within. Wake up. Never has it been more apparent that without the 1st and 2nd we would be Europe already.

They did do one favor for society. They drew a striking picture of the differences of even the most desired countries to be in in Europe to a comparison to the US. We are against Islamic extremists. France is now made up of them. We have the first amendment. They have persecution and imprisonment or execution for the opportunity to speak their minds. And they wonder why people are willing to die to get here?

Well said. I was thinking the same thing. We are, however, slowly losing ground on the 1A. Liberals are now labeling ideas they disagree with “hate speech”. And it’s not that big a step to turn “hate speech” into a “hate crime”.
Fortunately the 2A still stands strong.

She was not charged with anti-Semitism, but with being anti Islam (or anti ISIS to be more exact). This sets the precedent that anyone could be charged with the same “crime.”
