Tabasco is nuclear compared with Texas Pete, which has replaced ketchup on my fries, scrambled eggs, or Mexican food.
Anyway, whoever said Hillary carries sauce (i.e., booze) in her purse is most likely correct.
Tabasco is to me not a great table condiment, it’s more for cooking. Used as a table condiment it’s a little sharp-edged. The best table condiment cayenne hot sauce in my opinion is Crystal and it’s cheap. Lots of cayenne goodness but thicker than Tabasco and the peppers must be roasted more or something because it’s very slightly smoky and sweet. Texas Pete is on the vinegary side, which has it’s place. Works very well with pork which makes sense, since it’s a product of North Carolina. Works with green vegetables too, particularly collard greens.
