You mock but that's what Action for Children's Television essentially did, ban guns from cartoons (or at least basic pistols and rifles). I seem to recall reading that the people working on the Planet of the Apes cartoon in the 70s got around it by creating some kind of super future rifle/cannon.

Remember those monstrosities that liberals foisted upon us for a few years after their '94 ban?

Yep. I had one just like it back then. It's long gone now. It tossed that ugly abomination and attached a proper pistol grip and normal stock that I picked up at a gun show, unaware that in doing so I was committing a significant crime. Turned it in to a great little rifle though.
