It's not the alcohol playing tricks on your eyes: The striding figure on some bottles of Johnnie Walker scotch will be Jane Walker. Liquor maker Diageo says it plans to roll out bottles next month for a limited run. Diageo says it's the first time in the brand's nearly 200-year history that the logo has been depicted as a woman.
It's the latest gender change for a famous pitch figure: Last month, KFC started airing commercials with country star Reba McEntire playing the role of Col. Sanders. And Brawny briefly sold paper towels with a woman in a plaid shirt, instead of the usual Brawny dude.

That was brutal.
thanks... i am here all week.
Women do drive men to drinking..... : )
It’s 18YO now instead of 30.
So dedicated to the cause he worked himself to death.
I hope they go out of business.
I remember Johnny Walker from Channel 22 in Dayton.
Yep...sounds similar.
JW changed due to some shortage in the 30 year barrel supply.
So they changed it to 18YO, increased the price, and kept the brand the same. BTW, the new stuff is NOT good. Nothing anywhere close to what was.
Kinda shady. I’ll try that other one you mentioned though...always looking for a good 30.
Awaiting: It Walker ... Gay Walker ... Trannie Walker ... Bi Walker ...
I think you are mixing Zaya and Ron Zacapa rums. Zaya has always been a 12 y.o. rum, but was made at the same Guatemalan distillery as Ron Z. It was a poor man's Ron Zacapa, 95% the quality at 1/2 the price. Then they moved production to Trinidad and it hasn't been the same since. Ron Zacapa was previously labled "23 Years Old", but the change in labeling was not due to a change in blend, it was "coming clean" that it was never a 23 y.o. rum, as was pretty obvious by the price. It has always been a blend of rums from 6 to 23 years old.
So, Zaya, with lot's of added sugar and flavoring, is nothing like it's former blend. Zacapa on the other hand, is still the same "excellent for the price" rum, just with a more honest label.
That KFC commercial with Reba, ranks right of there with the Dr. Pepper commercial. Very Annoying!
Wait til you see the new Jolly Green Giant...
