Bolstered by an energized base of grassroots activists, Connecticut Democrats on Tuesday picked up a seat in the state House of Representatives that’s been held by Republicans for more than 40 years.
Democrat Phil Young, a former member of the town council, beat Republican Bill Cabral in the race to represent the 120th district, which includes most of Stratford.
The seat was open because Republican state Rep. Laura Hoydick was elected mayor, resulting in her resignation from the House in early January.
Nick Balletto, the chairman of the Connecticut Democratic party, called the win “historic” and said it signifies that voters are increasingly disenchanted with President Donald Trump.

Pretty much how it is these days and it’s comical. If a Democrat gets elected dog catcher in Jerkwater Township somewhere then it’s the start of a huge national tidal wave against Trump.

The GOP is going to take it on the chin this November. One part mid year trends. But the story that is not being told is the radical sensorship of conservative voices on social media.
8 years ago the Tea Party arrived on stage and within a few years they were neutralized by a combination of non stop bashing from the Legacy Media and intimidation for the government (IRS & is others)
While the people who run the popular social media site are almost in unison and despise Trump he has been so popular that they are near helpless to stop him. But that does not protect “Us” the people that support him. We are being banned and blocked at almost every turn.
People need to wake up. Social Media has surpassed the Legacy Media in influence, and with the entire group censoring Trump supporters it is going to look nasty in November.
The democrats brought in people who were guaranteed to vote democrat. They put them into the cities and turned them against Whites and Republicans, blaming them for their problems. So this is no surprise.
democrats don’t know how to create jobs. They $hit on productivity, seizing money from those who actually go out to work and pay taxes. Now they plan to shove the knives even deeper into our hearts with new taxes and tolls. democrats destroy everything they touch.
They are crowing about winning 39 seats since Trump but lost 1,000 since obunghole! Viva la differance!

According to Obama, when an illegal votes he/she/it becomes a citizen. So on that basis, no illegals voted.
First question that popped into my mind is, “Why does a state as small as CT need 120 Representatives?”
The tax hike, and other shenanigans, are making it hard for many GOP Congress critters
Exactly that is why the result of this election is meaningless.
