Still, to me the MU-2 is just about the most bad ass plane the Japanese ever produced as a GA platform. The short field and rate of climb is phenomenal.

And very affordable for a twin turboprop. I wonder if that’s because of its reputation for being a widow maker.

The guy who used to run Perkiomen Valley Airport near Greatersford kept a MU Solitare in the community storage hangar. He flew it just enough to stay current.
