Given the performance of the FBI, BATF, and too many local law enforcement officials, there can be no grounds for thinking, "It can't happen here" -- aside from our precious Second Amendment.
Our political opponents would march us off to camps and gas us if they could, and a lot of government employees wouldn't think twice about carrying out those orders.
The only thing stopping them is about 300+ million guns.

"There are those who would frankly not be surprised should it be revealed that this was a deliberately conspired event, especially in light of the cowardice of Broward County deputies and probable "Stand Down" order from their boss(es).
If such a thing should be proven, it would have to involve several people, and Sheriff Israel's role in it would turn out to be that of a guy who was playing a position in said conspiracy - ironically, that of an individual who turns out to be visible, and thus expendable in the end game."
