My grand daughter will be a freshman at Cherry Hill East next year. Bit of a liberal community but the HS is ranked #7 in all of NJ. My family and I will be monitoring her education very closely and extract every liberal thought that gets put into her head.
When I was that age I was reading Ayn Rand—she can start with “Anthem”—an easy read and a great antidote to the school propaganda.
My sister and brother-in-law are meek to the point of timid and frankly not that aware, I try to deprogram my niece to limited effect. The most effective thing I’ve done thus far is to turn the old sixties mantra around on them: “Always question authority.” They don’t, it’s such lockstep conformity that it’s alarming. It frightens my old hippie friends, old McGovern voters, they quietly voted for Trump and don’t dare say a word, lest they bring the wrath of the Borg down upon themselves.
