But its hard to tell them apart from liberal these days.
And their backing of Hillary Clinton for me, was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
NeverTrumpers don’t appreciate Trump is more conservative than them.
I thought I was a neocon, too, during the Iraqi war. It’s a slippery, protean term, to be sure, but Bush’s New Wilsonian dreams of exporting democracy at gunpoint turned out to be a failure. I think it has to do with thinking, at some primal leverl, perople are all the same and want the same things out of life. Islam proved that dog won’t hunt.
In today’s terms, neoconservatism is the intersection of imperialism and compassionate conservatism. Yes, it’s that ugly.
