It wasn’t “set up on delay.” Like pretty much every camera/DVR system (including mine, and the dozens I’ve installed), it can show realtime, or be rewound back in time to wherever and played. At one point, it was being replayed and some people thought it was live.

My theory is that they had it ‘rewound’ so they could watch the ‘suspect’ enter the building and start shooting, so that they could identify the ‘shooter’.
By the time the POLICE arrived at the school, all the shooting was over and the ‘suspect’ was on his way to SUBWAY.
The POLICE saying they didn’t know it was TIME DELAYED seems to be an excuse for why they (or the Deputies) didn’t enter the building when the shooting first started.
Sundance is wrong on a lot of stuff.
Great for gathering info and packaging it, but conclusions often wrong.

Don't most security videos usually have a time stamp on them?
If so a look at your watch would show a discrepancy.
Or perhaps no time stamp makes it easier to edit/delete tapes that show student behavior that could jeopardize your Federal grants. /s
