Confusing bullet velocity for stopping power... I’m sorry but a .45 handgun round will stop the bad guy (within short ranges) better than a fast moving .223 any day of the week.

Yrs ago I handled a case involving a shooting at a White Castle in Queens NY. The perp shot the victim 5x with a 1911 while the victim was waiting for his order. The victim lived!

I was going to say that. A .545 from 1911 would knock the perp all the way over.

“a .45 handgun round will stop the bad guy (within short ranges) better than a fast moving .223 any day of the week.”

And in close quarters, a handgun is much easier to bring to bear on a target than a rifle.

And the latest bull$hit coming from the Coward County Sheriff’s Office is that the SRO thought it was “outside fireworks,” which caused him to hide behind a car with his gun drawn.
