No, short of some other intervention—DACA lives beyond March 5th.

Isn't Mar 5 the date the mechanism for extending the dreamers stay ends ? Even if the mechanism stays in place what's to stop them from just not granting the extensions ? It seems to be just an administrative thing. Kind of like the visa brouhaha, if a visa isn't granted for any reason it stops legal entry, the same way if a DACA extension isn't granted then it's deport time.

My understanding is that a lower kangaroo court told Trump he couldn’t end the program on the 5th. The SC refused to hear it at this point, though that is fairly to be expected given the nature of it, and asked the lower court of appeals to move expeditiously on it.

But not only am I not an attorney, I don’t play one on TV or elsewhere either.

Again, I’m no expert. But I believe the lower court has disallowed Trump’s original move to end DACA on March 5th.

Sort of like the lower courts who kept disallowing his temporary, selective ban on immigrants from certain countries who couldn’t/wouldn’t verify the background of those seeking entry to the US.
