One of my neighbors is black and I have introduced her to other (white) people in the neighborhood. She told me that sometimes when she says hello to them they don’t always say it back and, well, she has dealt with racists before.
I patiently explained to her that sometimes people don’t feel like conversing, might have some life crap going on or maybe didn’t hear her and it has nothing to do with the color of anyone’s skin. I hate she feels that way because she is a wonderful person and I know she has had bad experiences.
HOWEVER, Omarosa was given an opportunity in life when no one else would even spit on her and this is how she responds?
I hope the rest of her life is as wonderful as she is.
People with that monkey on their back never seem to realize that it’s their monkey.
It’s the same as people who think everyone is looking at them, talking about them etc. The path out is to realize that: A. you’re not that important, B. people are wrapped up in their own affairs, C. you are responsible for being friendly and making the world a friendlier place not for other people. Their loss if they have a hangup and in truth you will never know what’s in another person’s heart & mind so keep a good thought and give them the benefit of the doubt.
