I really don’t think people are afraid of Soros anymore.

They've come to realize that although soros can take out darned near any politician, he can't take out thousands or even hundreds at a time.

I think he needs to be kicked out, and then a swift investigation into the number of juveniles that are behavior problems, and for whom similar calls and warnings have been made, yet have been ignored. Not sure it’s even possible at this point, but the next maniac is likely already plotting.

This goes all the way to the top, in terms of the tone set by the prior administration. The dots need to be connected for the American people — WHY did he ignore it — he had an ORDER to ignore it!!

You are right.
During the obammy administration, his dept of Edumacation issued orders that schools were not to report disruptive or problematic students and that order was in place as the Kenyan felt blacks were unfairly reported.

Suspending him is not enough.

"...Picking him up and returning to said institution is a very simple solution..."

There are certain people in this country (We call them "Leftists") who view that solution as an impingement on that person's rights.

Of course, these are the same people who protest when we discuss limiting the volume of violent Islamic refugees who wish to kill us that we allow into this country.

I guess to them, the violent murderers (be they mentally ill people who should be institutionalized, or Islamists who wish to see Americans dead) will vote for leftist candidates themselves in any case, and even if they kill people randomly without consideration of their party affiliation, at least the Democratic portion of those murdered voters can still cast their vote for Democrats in any given election since those same people don't want us to purge the voter rolls of deceased people for a reason.

The Leftists probably think they come out ahead no matter what.

And this doesn't even account for people who are simply violent Leftists (like the Softball Field Shooter) who are going to selectively murder voters (or lawmakers) for the opposing party which decreases the voters outright for the opposing party.

I did descend into a bit of sarcasm there (not directed at you, but at leftists) but the point is, they are the ones who want mentally ill people on the streets and not in institutions. (Note that I agree with your simple solution. It is the best thing to do for these mentally ill people, and for everyone else in society.)

It makes them look like banana republic dictators. All they need is a diagonal sash, and a lot of big medals to complete the picture.

I never gave it much thought, because these people (including some good ones) wear the uniforms with all the hardware, but it always looks to me a bit self-aggrandizing.

I just figured a lot of them didn’t design the uniform, but just took the example from the people who came before them.

That pretty much sums it up. The only ones in our country that have to have qualifications are the country prison guards.

Being a deputy sheriff is a good deal if you can get it.

The good sheriff's quote has nothing to do with why Coward Co. is not arresting teens.

FedGov Big $$$ roll into the county every time he "proves" he is lowering arrests.

How do we lower arrests?

JUST DONT MAKE ANY !!!

Why don’t they suspend the liberals who insist on making schools “gun free zones”?

I don’t think you can fire or suspend an elected official without the person being charged with a crime of sorts. Not sure but some of you legal folks in FL should know.

"A paradigm shift in the narrative starts tomorrow. CNN vid will play on every morning show...incompetence of law enforcement will be the theme...the MSM will drop[this] by the end of the week...basketball on deck this weekend... "

Wow just 12 hours ago.

Further examination of the latter comment: these gun-grabbing dumbasses have scheduled their march for the same weekend as Elite Eight. Bracketology > confiscation

“Now let’s see how this plays out.... “

Not well for the Sheriff, Sheriff’s office. Pam Biondi Florida AG was on Fox and Friends this morning. There is/will he an investigation and she has already hinted that she and the Gov. we’re lied to in regards to what time Sheriff’s were on the scene beyond Hall Monitor Peterson.

As I wrote on the other thread, I don't want him to resign. His crime of allowing 17 innocents to be slaughtered is much too severe to let him just resign.

I want him to be dragged through the streets before he is hung, drawn and quartered. (Figuratively, of course.)

If he resigns, it will be all too easy to sweep the root causes of this Charlie Foxtrot under the rug. They need to be exposed.

just for the record, how precisely did the sheriff allow the killings to take place?

The man is reprehensible but I am not aware of any direct action allowing the killings

"Drudge refused to link to any of the few versions of the following report [Several Broward deputies waited outside during Florida school shooting] from various news sites. Only a very small portion of Americans are aware of it."

Yep, sent him 3 versions.

There is something up with Matt - as of 2018, many of his links (at the bottom) to columnists have broken [ie Fishbowl NY/DC ended long ago], as are the weather links, etc.

"Highly disappointed in that feckless Rick Scott"

Rott's milquetoast appearance on FNS yesterday actually served to shrink his role to nearly nothing (thus pouring cold water on his own unconstitutional proposals); and by serendipity alone, that sheriff went on a megalomaniac rage on Tapper's SOTN -- and that has now seized control of the news cycle.

Ironically, Rott can reclaim the spotlight by suspending this sheriff, oh let's say Thursday...just in time to plan the Sunday news shows...
