After call with Trump turns testy, Mexico’s president scraps plan to visit White House

Tentative plans for Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto to make his first visit to the White House to meet with President Trump were scuttled this week after a testy call between the two leaders ended in an impasse over Trump’s promised border wall, according to U.S. and Mexican officials. Peña Nieto was eyeing an official trip to Washington this month or in early March, but called off the plan after Trump would not agree to publicly affirm Mexico’s position that it would not fund construction of a border wall that the Mexican people widely consider offensive, said the officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a confidential conversation.

Speaking by phone on Feb. 20, Peña Nieto and Trump devoted a considerable portion of their roughly 50-minute conversation to the wall, and neither man would compromise his position.

You are correct. Those touting interrupting transfers are not informed on how money can be transferred these days. It’s just ignorance.

Smart phones aside, any one with a fax machine in the USA and another in Mexico can get into the money transfer business. it’s requires some seed money and and a bank account. The transfers less than $10,000 are un noticed by the feds.

Not so sure there is a "southern wall" in Mexico...but, they do have what appears to be a stronger barrier than the US

“...I have to believe that Nieto is on the payroll of the Mexican cartels.........”

Yes, in one form or another. Regardless of what many say, the cartels run Mexico at their desire. Plenty of firepower and nothing to lose...except their drug trade which they will protect to the death. As we have seen.

We already have 20% of Mexico’s population in the US. That’s an INVASION!

We should invade Mexico, take over that sh*thole, and send everyone back.

“Do that and how long do you think it will it take before dozens of companies are flooding the airwaves offering to route those remittances through a third party country?”

Tax them all equally. 20% seems about right. I don’t care if it’s going to Mexico, Ireland, or Tonga.

I think the obvious way to fund the wall is an airport style border security fee. Anybody crossing the border pays $10 or whatever. I guess that would have to get through Congress, though.

They may not have a “wall” but it looks to be a fence of some kind from my google maps. However, they certainly want a “wall” according to this article: http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2016/09/hypocrisy-mexico-announces-plans-great-wall-southern-border-central-america/

Time to end all aid and trade to Mexico until the boy tells President Trump why so many Mexicans are seeking refuge from him and his government “through no fault of their own” by coming to the United States

“Tax remittances to Mexico”

Implement a 10% “fee” on all cash remittances that leave the US.

We might as well have North Korea on our border. Boycott the pendejos. That includes Corona.

Re: It was only $3.99 to transfer $100 overseas.

So that’s 4%. I understand that the recipient also pay fees so the total approaches 10%. Seems the feds could step on a piece of this.

The only question I have is whether or not it could be done with an EA.

I’d advocate a higher % proportionally for Mexico, and the other Shitholes that send illegals here.

We need China’s Great Wall, 3000 years later and they still don’t have any Mexicans.

“...3000 years later and they still don’t have any Mexicans.”

Yeah, and anyone going over the wall in either direction gets shot. I think that has something to do with it...
