Tentative plans for Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto to make his first visit to the White House to meet with President Trump were scuttled this week after a testy call between the two leaders ended in an impasse over Trump’s promised border wall, according to U.S. and Mexican officials. Peña Nieto was eyeing an official trip to Washington this month or in early March, but called off the plan after Trump would not agree to publicly affirm Mexico’s position that it would not fund construction of a border wall that the Mexican people widely consider offensive, said the officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a confidential conversation.
Speaking by phone on Feb. 20, Peña Nieto and Trump devoted a considerable portion of their roughly 50-minute conversation to the wall, and neither man would compromise his position.

When the Mexican pipsqueak acts this way, President Trump ought to tell him that if he doesn’t pipe down, we are going to send 15,000,000 illegals back to Mexico by the end of his first term. No more billions of dollars flowing into Mexico from their wire transfers, Mexico’s biggest source of revenue. He just might act nicer after that threat sinks in.
Presidents don't make these phone calls alone, on either side. Someone in the room in the White House or in Mexico leaked. Or told someone who leaked. My money is that the leak came from south of the border. Looks better politically for Nieto Pena.

Read the article, both the US and Mexico state relations are BETTER than under Obama or Bush, and they are working together on all issues. That’s hidden in the article. PAYING for the wall just happens to be a hot potato issue. They agree on building it.
