One word: Venuezla.

A despotic country that starves its disarmed populace to death.

I’ll take an AR-15 over that scenario any day.

If liberals want to confiscate our guns, they’ll take them from our cold, dead hands.

Our freedom is non-negotiable. Deal with it.

“Well Regulated” means that the people are well-trained and the weapons are in good order, ready to go.

Remember the same police and military the liberals loathe and say are far too powerful are at the same time the only ones who can be trusted with guns. Just like this wonderful DEA agent. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=am-Qdx6vky0

A militia is a civilian army. How can militias be armed if civilians aren’t allowed to own guns?

Anyone who thinks America can’t become a tyranny has lost touch with reality. Hitler was duly elected by the German people. Look how well that turned out.

These are weak arguments. I know it’s not the popular view, but the Second Amendment is 1 vote away from being gutted by SCOTUS. And it might have happened if the GOP Senate hadn’t blocked Merrick Garland. And then all of your reliance on the 2nd Amendment will be as useful as those who relied on the Commerce Clause to block Obamacare. So much for that, thanks to Justice Roberts.

In my view self defense is a natural law right that flows from the right to be left alone. As a natural law right it cannot be repealed by any government. Guns are an inherent component of the right to self defense because they equalize the ability men (and women) to defend themselves. Anybody who has lived in Oakland, Chicago or DC readily understands this component.

I’d just like to add that peoples feelings do not trump my natural rights, endowed by my creator. If they want to rely on government for protection from all harm, God bless them and good luck! I won’t take that chance.

Decent article and Schlichter brings up great points, as usual, but I think it can all be narrowed to one:

Why are 9 of 10 Amendments in the Bill of Rights, for the, Individual, except for the 2nd?

THEY have blood on their hands. They’re glad coach Feis didn’t have a gun and refuse to allow his replacement to have one.

Very good article!

I don’t understand how “Fredo” + “Conservative” work together — what Fredocon means exactly. I know the words separately, but together...?

In 2013, the Broward County School Board, in collusion with Eric Holder and the Obama Administration, put in place policies to prevent crimes comitted by minority students in school from being reported to the police!!!

Cruz was considered minority due to his last name. He previously brought bullets in his backpack! He comitted numerous crimes on school grounds, was caught, and never reported to police. They weren’t allowed to!

Please spread it far and wide. Copypasta this post to other school shooting threads. Post on facebook. Email to friends.

“Broward County schools intentionally created polices from 2010 through 2016 that culminated in the 2018 mass school shooting in Parkland. We know this with great specificity because five years ago we warned Broward County Florida school board members this could happen.”

Numbers 1 & 2. While SCOTUS decisions are factual, the arguments in both 1 & 2 are WAY overstated. As are most of the explanations of how militia applies in the posts that follow.

In the context of the time, a “well-regulated militia” was a reference to a state or national army. This clause simply acknowledges that an army is necessary to the defense of a country. The next part then establishes that the PEOPLE must be able to bear arms in case that militia turns on the people.

Penn and Teller said better and more succinctly than I’ve seen anywhere else. WARNING: adult language.

Sheesh, right off the bat, literacy problem. What is “the militia?” Answer, it has nothing to do with being armed, and everything to do with being able-bodied. The militia is that portion of the citizen populace that is able bodied, whether they are armed or not. Most readers of Schlicter’s article, even those who oppose him, are in the militia.
