This question sounds like it is just a rehearsed talking point - the NRA's direct contributions to candidates are quite negligible so the question is meaningless - just an attempt to smear the organization as well as Rubio rather than have a serious discussion.

In 2013, the Broward County School Board, in collusion with Eric Holder and the Obama Administration, put in place policies to prevent crimes comitted by minority students in school from being reported to the police!!!
Cruz was considered minority due to his last name. He previously brought bullets in his backpack! He comitted numerous crimes on school grounds, was caught, and never reported to police. They weren’t allowed to!

If the Left thinks that NRA money is ‘buying’ politicians, let them continue to think that. They don’t need Rubio to take a dime of their money - they can spend it independently in support of Rubio (if he’s even worth it).
The NRA works because the gun owners that I know use their SCORE CARD to pick candidates. That simple - if they have an A or A+ rating, they get voted for...and that doesn’t require the transfer of a SINGLE PENNY to Rubio, or anyone else.
And on top of that, the NRA is PUNY compared to the big cheeses in DC...absolutely puny - barely enough to fund a few lobbyists, whereas the BIG SPENDERS have more lobbyists assigned to a single Representative than the NRA has total lobbyists.
