War monitors say a massive surge in attacks by the Syrian Government and its allies has killed more than 70 people in the rebel-held eastern Ghouta pocket near Damascus in the past 24 hours.
The British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said air strikes, rocket fire and shelling on several parts of the besieged suburbs also wounded more than 300 people.

Which rebels are these? ISIS remnants? Kurds? Who are they allied with?
It’s hard to keep up.

Kurds as any organized force as opposed to maybe individuals who fight with Al Qaeda, they're up in the Northeast and along the Iraq border, not around Damascus. The last thing I read showed no one but ISIS and a couple of groups that were Al Qaeda or otherwise affiliated with ISIS in the area around Damascus.
Also, given that Israel has frequently makes airstrikes to help ISIS and their pals and most of their recent airstrikes have been around Damascus this looks like the ISIS or almost all ISIS.
I'm sure the UN crying over the situation will soon clarify everything, right?
