Another quick story. I attended the Rally in the Mall (don't remember if that was the official name) sponsored by Free Republic. I think it was around the summer/fall of 1997? There were many speakers that day including Jim Robinson (who I briefly met), Larry Klayman, I think former FBI agent Gary Aldrich, L.D. Brown, Billy Dale (Travelgate), FReeper "Trixie" (I think she was the MC) and several others I can't remember. I stood front and center in front of the speakers' platform and in the second row - right behind the fadora-wearing and recently famous Matt Drudge.

That evening about a hundred of us met in an auditorim located in a small D.C. museum where Lucianne Goldberg and her son, Jonah spoke. There may have been other speaks but I don't remember. Beforehand, several in the audience chatted for about 20 minutes and I shared some of the information gleaned from this book with a small group of 4 or 5 other men. They listened with keen interest - that is until I mentioned the involvement of George Bush. Well that was the end of the conversation as they made it very clear that in no way could George Bush be involved in anything like that. My how things (and opinions) have changed. Who knows, most of those people in attendence were FReepers. Maybe the folks I spoke with are still members. If so, I hope they read this and remember.

Correct! I remember her now. btw, during that rally I met and chatted a few minutes with former FReeper Alan Favish, a lawyer who played a significant role in the Vince Foster investigation. I also enjoyed a few minutes with FReeper ML/NJ who I think still is a member.

I bought the book shortly after hearing Terry Reed’s story on late night talk radio, hosted by Ray Briem. I think he was still with 790KABC at the time. Fascinating.

Yes I also met Terry briefly in Missouri. He autographed my copy of his book. Unfortunately, I loaned it to a late night talk show host in Columbus, Ohio. He later said it disappeared off his desk - ugh. Recenty ordered a new copy.

Speaking of his family, I remember during one of his talks in Missouri under a large canvas tent. I got a little teary-eyed while listening to him relate how he and his wife traveled the US and Mexico trying to stay one step ahead of those who wanted him dead and doing so with three young boys. While we listened to their saga, I watched outside the tent where those same three boys (ages probably 7 to 12) playing with a football and not a care in the world.

I met Terry and he signed my book. Both he and L.D. Brown discussed with me how L.D. was sent down to Mexico by the CIA to take out a bad drug king. It turned out to actually be Reed and obviously Brown did not carry it out. Bill Clinton knew Brown was being sent to kill an innocent America and hope it would put a lid on the story being told. Also helped L.D. with a book tour when he came to SoCal.
