The confession by global charity World Vision will dismay supporters, including Prince Harry's fiancée, the charity's ambassador until last year.
Desperate survivors of the disaster were forced by paid employees of World Vision -- which received £17 million from the UK Government last year -- to have sex or pay money for World Food Programme aid.
The revelations -- brought to the attention of the MoS by a former World Vision worker -- will fuel concern over abuses by aid workers following the scandal over the use of prostitutes by Oxfam officials, also in Haiti.
Last night, MPs demanded an investigation into the aid industry and suggested World Vision -- like Oxfam -- might be stripped of bidding for fresh work with the Department for International Development (Dfid).
'It is astonishing people contracted to work on projects in Haiti could trade goods and cash for sex to some of the most vulnerable people on earth,' said Tory MP Nigel Evans.
The sordid transactions emerged after the Word Food Programme (WFP) -- set up by the United Nations to distribute food in emergencies -- ordered an outside evaluation of the cash and food for work projects run by its partners in September 2011.

This is not Ms. Markle’s problem. It is the organization’s problem, and the UK government’s problem, to the extent that they funded the activities. She did not do anything wrong in promoting a NGO that she had no reason to believe was doing anything but helpful work.
I wonder if theyll shut Harry out the way they did last time a Prince married a commoner?

Good question.
It would be a shame though; he has shown bravery in battle and from what I understand, wanted no special treatment.
Sorry if this a double post; I was halfway through my answer to you and everything disappeared. I’m not great with a laptop. :)
Take care, FRiend!
She was a goodwill ambassador which is an honorary title. Yea you go on a trip or two, have some publicity pics taken, maybe make a speech, and since it was a British funded charity that seemed to be doing good, she probably didnt think there was any reason to be concerned. It is not as if she ran or managed the org. The question is will she step down from the role - probably.
Some people seem have a visceral hatred for her that I dont quite get. Some people likewise hated Dianna. But I think Markle being an American and being bi-racial is at the root of a lot of it.
They’d better get used to her high profile problems.

LOL!
When I was 18, I spent a semester in France and visited Italy. Don’t know what it’s like now, but back then, women NEVER stepped out of the house without being groomed and well-dressed.
Me, on the other hand, wearing an old pair of jeans and a t-shirt. You could always tell who the Americans were. LOL!
So I agree. Markle should buy an Emily Post book. And if anyone else here knows who Emily Post is, I guess we’re all showing our age. ;)
btw, Markle will probably have to give up acting. That’s probably going to go over with her like a lead balloon.... Wonder how long this marriage will last.
But I think Markle being an American and being bi-racial is at the root of a lot of it.

I agree. They have their standards, don’t you know. ;)
If they do marry, she should present the Queen with a lovely package of American-made tea. LOL! (j/k; that would not help the family relationship at all)
Why be a progressive foot soldier if you can't get anything out of it? I'd go so far as to say charity work disproportionately attracts these types.
I don't get it at all! She's a California liberal, of course, but no more than tons of others. There are definitely racial comments, as though she's harmed someone by being mixed-race.
The stink sticks to her because she gave her support to an organization she didn't vet. She may learn, she may not. Sounds like you've got a dog in the hunt too.
Yep, I’m totally invested in an actress I’ve never watched and an organization I don’t support. Logic, it’s what’s for dinner!
Heh... she’ll push out one or two kids, enjoy the limelight for a while, probably create controversies with stupid public statements, humiliate the royal family, *then* file for divorce.
