I’m sorry. But (1) you have not lost thousands of lives protecting little old us. You did lose a few hundred once ‘peacekeeping’ between us and the PLO. But I’d have druther that you didn’t. We were primed to rid the world of them once and for all. Instead, you had marines killed by a suicide bomber, doing nobody a bit of good.
(2) You have not given us any free stuff. Everything had a price tag, such as making peace with the aforementioned PLO, which doesn’t want peace. It’s OK. I respect and understand price tags. I am suspicious of free stuff, because there’s no such thing. Some price tags are too steep, simply because they’re based on a bass ackwards premise, such as peace with terrorist murderers at any cost. That’s a stupid price tag, far from free.
(3) I guess the nuclear reactor in Iraq and the same recently in Syria were OK. A few nuclear bombs never hurt anyone. Nope. No help at all. Boy, what a burden we’ve been, taking out nuclear reactors, Iranian operatives, sharing intelligence, etc.
(4) I was proposing, in response to a post from someone saying they didn’t want to get the US involved with chasing Iran out of Iraq and Syria, that we, living in the neighborhood, could act as the US proxy in that regard, but to do that we’ll need some hardware and some cash, especially carriers. Quid pro quo. Not free stuff at all, since it’ll be our soldiers holding the line and getting shot at, and Iran and Russia are no lightweights and won’t be dislodged any time soon, just held off.
(5) Yes, America is good people. Nicest people in the world. But that doesn’t mean you’re right-headed. You don’t understand this region, and you have a distorted view of it because of: a. Supreme delusions of longitude, and b. Fake news and mis-education. That’s why you get things bass ackwards. As for getting upset at casualties, the last engagement with Iraq is a case in point. Blood-letting comes with war. It’s synonimous. If you aren’t ready for it, don’t go to war.
(6) If you don’t understand the context of a remark, look back upsream on the thread until you do. Then respond. Otherwise, you’re just reacting, and getting everything bass ackwards.
