Student survivors of the horrific Parkland, FL school shooting spoke on multiple Sunday shows today, and one of the students had a very direct message for President Trump.
Trump claimed yesterday that Democrats “didn’t want to” solve the gun problem. David Hogg, who said the day after the shooting that “children will continue to die if we don’t take a stand now,” looked into the camera on CBS’ Face the Nation and said this to the President:
“President Trump, you control the House of Representatives, you control the Senate, and you control the executive. You haven’t taken a single bill for mental health care or gun control and passed it. And that’s pathetic. We’ve seen a government shutdown, we’ve seen tax reform, but nothing to save our children’s lives. Are you kidding me? You think now is the time to focus on the past and not the future to prevent the death of thousands of other children? You sicken me.”

That makes a lot of sense. Democrats know the media is on their side and the media will blame Republicans for shootings. Meanwhile, they wind up doing nothing on gun control to risk losing some of their voters.
The Democrats could have put back into law the “Assault weapons” ban after Sandy Hook, even after the Pulse Nightclub shooting..they didnt do it because they knew it would cost them the house/senate..they remember too well what happened after Bill Clinton implemented that law, Dems lost a ton so instead they want to make Republicans do it, they know that it will cost them at the ballot box and Dems can have clean hands
Well, Parkland isn’t that ritzy by a long shot. It’s a western suburb of Ft. Lauderdale, but there are many more exclusive areas in Broward County. I lived in southeast Ft. Lauderdale, one of the last conservative strongholds in the county.

Why not this same reaction towards obama for all the shootings under him? I mean the hatred, the shootings themselves are just an excuse to unleash hatred at someone you dont’t like, your own personal Goldstein...

This is the state of our society, folks. We tend towards inaction even when we know it is the right thing to do. This is exactly what the liberals want. They want a passive society that does not fight for itself and its freedoms. The chart simply shows the number of opportunities were ‘action’ would have stopped this person yet every time, inaction prevailed.
The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.
