Conservatives are outnumbered 5 to 1 on most campuses. Parents should at least talk to youth, who still live in their houses, about many of the important issues. Our children should learn to question what they learn at a young age.
Education begins at a young age. Conservative values can stay with us our entire life. Students are often punished with bad grades, if they do not conform in some classrooms.
Students need to always understand there is a choice. Two sides of an issue should be presented.
Excellent post, one of the bigger problems i see is that many universities, some the most liberal, raise their tuition every year and then big govt. follows by raising the amount they loan to students.
Big mistake, this has to end.
It’s starts earlier than college.
By the time the kids are in Junior High School, the Social Justice “Warriors”—SJWs—are out in force using social media to “virtue shame” their peers.
It is VERY hard to overcome.
My kids are 21 and 17, my boy in a Senior. Luckily with live in a rural piece of Alabama that still holds strong conservative and Christian values.
My sister lives outside of Boston! She is middle-of-the-road, her husband is a conservative in everything but name. They cannot discuss politics around their teenage daughters because these girls have swallowed the SJW creed hook, line and sinker.
On the rare occasion I go up there, I like nothing better to do than goad them. I’m a good Uncle otherwise, but they know not to try to give me any of that Leftist BS.
Again, all of this generally starts around the 7th Grade. In deep blue areas, I’m afraid it starts in Kindergarten.
Parents should boycott these socialist indoctrination centers, SKA-REW the status symbol of attending certain "universities". The communist hate-spewing "professors" don't deserve one dime of their grossly inflated compensation. And conservative students shouldn't have to do battle with these communist "instructors", nor suffer under the peer pressure of the ubiquitous socialist agenda.
With a little scrutiny, parents can find decent schools like Hillsdale College to send their kids to. Why let the kids make that decision...what do they know?
