Attorney General Jeff Sessions ordered Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to “conduct an immediate review” of both the Justice Department and FBI Friday.
Sessions referenced the new revelations into the FBI’s mishandling of tips on suspected Stoneman Douglass High School shooter Nikolas Cruz, which he called “tragic.” (RELATED: FBI Admits It Mishandled Tip On Florida Shooter)
“It is now clear that the warning signs were there and tips to the FBI were missed,” Sessions wrote in a statement. “We see the tragic consequences of those failures.”
“The FBI in conjunction with our state and local partners must act flawlessly to prevent all attacks. This is imperative, and we must do better,” he continued.
Sessions demanded the review would help both bodies “reach the highest level of prompt and effective response to indications of potential violence that comet to us.”

I’m pretty sure if we reassigned the agents working for Mueller team to school duty we would have a much better use of these resources. He has 17 agents on that case . If they were just answering phones and directing assets we would have 17 people possibly still alive today.

True statement, a bit of an understatement in truth. However I predict that there will be a media flurry for a few days, the investigations (note I said plural investigations) will take place, and then ABSOLUTELY nothing will be done other than the funerals and destruction of the school building.
And I would expect President Trump will be blamed for it all.
When Dan Coates was a U.S. Senator he served on the Intel Committee; he was also Ambassador to Germany so one would suspect he has about as much intel experience as anyone who hasn’t spent his/her career with the NSA or CIA or DIA, etc.
I’m surprised Sessions did not say what he said a week or so ago.

No Mr Sessions, it wasn’t “missed”, it was ignored, not properly investigated, kissed off.
17 kids died because of the FBI incompetence and the corrupt leadership.
How many more innocent Americans will die or be maimed for life before the FBI is gutted and replaced with intelligent patriots that are willing to do their job honestly, without favor, and for the American People.
BTW, there were more than “warning signs”..... there was a damn roadmap.
You know, it would not surprise me if staunch country music Republicans like Roy Acuff and Archie Campbell have been reliably voting Democrat (along with Junior) all these years since departing to the Grand Ole Opry show up in the sky.

By giving Rosenweasel this assignment he put an impenetrable wall arround him. He cannot be fired now and Sessions knows it. I have come to despise Jeff.

Nikolas Cruz was a known threat by the administrators of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.....but was not reported to the police. Why?
Because in 2013, the Broward County School Board adopted a program where they don’t relay information to police about troubled students.......a move away from so-called “zero tolerance” policies that require schools to refer even minor misdemeanors to the police.
AKA the “school to prison pipeline.”
Under a new program adopted by the Broward County School District, non-violent misdemeanors — even those that involve alcohol, marijuana or drug paraphernalia — will now be handled by the schools instead of the police.
