I am not seeing what the actual crime was? People from another country spreading fake or exaggerated news stories?
What law was broken (serious question). I am pretty sure if I wanted to spread fake news about anything I could, and my first amendment allows me to, doesn’t it?
So spreading fake news is OK if you’re CNN or MSNBC, but not if you’re a Russian???
