Actually, this is not true. I am Mormon. I live in Utah. I know plenty of other Mormons who are sick this is the choice (currently) presented. If no one else runs, my husband & I leave his name unchecked on the ballot. Believe me, that makes me sick. We don't trust him as far as we can spit.
Having said that, yes, many Mormons will vote for him. Many because he is a Mormon. I am surprised how many members of my Church here in Utah don't even read about or watch any kind of political news. And no, the Church doesn't tell us how to vote.
