The list of Native Americans everyone knows by name is small and Pocahontas is on it. Why is being compared to her “disrespectful”?

If I get caught in a lie for a claim that I hit three home runs in a major league baseball game and get called "Hank Aaron" for it, Aaron isn't being disrespected. I am as well I should be.
