I just listened to the mom’s 911 call. God forgive me for thinking this but it sounds rehearsed. Who forgets what her daughter was wearing (clothes she had been wearing for several hours) but remembers details like the abductor’s eyebrows. Who says they are worried about panicking during the call but can hold it together enough to tell the dispatcher she “Did not want him to think I was overprotective.”
Who goes into that much of a story during a 911 call to report a possible abduction? I get the dispatcher was trying to keep the mom calm and get as much info. But the mom was giving way more info then was needed at the time. I sure as heck would have been. “My daughter is missing I believe she may have been taken by this man who gave us a ride to the store and was shopping with us.” Then I would describe my daughter, the man, and any vehicle. The small details like “I had a cart full of clothes” can wait. My basic communication would be. Police. Now. but that’s just me. I think though that would be most moms.
I feel horrible for the mom who suffered such a loss. And I have no idea why her reaction seems so off. Plenty of innocent reasons why that could be. But it does and that bothers me.
My wife just told me the jury came back just a little while ago with guilty virdict on all 3 counts. Only took the jury 14 minutes to convict......That’s how we do it in Northeast Florida.
