Strictly speaking, “Holland” is only 2 of the 12 provinces of the Netherlands (”North Holland” and “South Holland”). But since almost everyone speaking English refers to the country simply as “Holland” those Dutch Netherlanders really ought to find a way to simply this situation.... :^)
Not to mention, who are the Pennsylvania "Dutch"? (who are actually of German extraction)
