Exactly.
I'm sure they had plenty of help from go-along-to-get-along Republicans.
In retrospect, it will probably be seen as an outcome of having the Baby Boom generation in charge.

Yep. While at MIOBC and MICCC, my observations to the 901st and 902nd were “round filed”. Reports: infidelity, lying to your superior officer, bringing electronics into SCIF, foreign born spouses, anti American feelings, etc. They just didn’t care.

The Clinton’s broke the process, in 1992.This. The Clinton WH had top people running things who were NEVER qualified for security clearances. They just ignored the requirement.
