I reference that book ALL-THE-TIME on this issue. That was when security REALLY became broken. I was going to write a lengthy post until I saw yours...beat me to it!
The Clinton Administration, from the aides up to the President and First Lady (and everyone in between) not only DID NOT comply with security requirements, they openly, and with the full approval of everyone at the top, ignored, ridiculed, and flaunted security requirements.
There were people who worked there for years on temporary passes!
You know all this, you read it...I recommend it to all Freepers.
