Before the internet came along, and before magazines like National Geographic and Ladies Home Journal got all politicized....we didn’t get hyped up on political agendas except every four years. Most people couldn’t name but maybe one senator from their state, and the governor. If you asked people who the vice-president was....it was a 50-50 chance they’d get it right.

Now people are in a hyper politicized state, and they still can't tell you who their senatecritters are.
