Clearly there is a pecking order of preferred minorities in this country right now - gays must be at or near the top.....
There's always been a competition on the left for whose victimhood is the most victimated at any given moment! I can't find the really good concise poker hand explanation for this, but here's a good in depth article that explains it. It is a little older though, so 'trans' is still lumped with homosexuality, even though nowadays 'trans' is probably near the top of the victimhood pile, close to Muslim.
