Thanks. I’d love to see more outdoor threads — hiking, camping, backpacking, birding, wildlife viewing, photography.
I just got home from three great days on Mare Island, Skaggs Island, and Lynch County Park birding, hiking, listening to lectures, checking out new and old wildlife organizations, testing binoculars, and having great conversations with all sorts of interesting people.
The most hysterical conversation was between two men in my car — I drove a carpool through Skaggs Island and they were passengers. They were both dyed-in-the-wool socialists! Hate Trump, love Bernie and Warren, Love dictators all over the world, love free education and free health care, hate corporations. Did I mention Hate Trump? I just kept my mouth shut to enjoy listening to these two birds singing their socialist songs. It was a “WOW!” time. I’m mellowing out in retirement...I didn’t toss them out at the far end of the marsh...or worse.
