Don’t know about Texas but here in my neck of the woods the teachers get paid once a month. Could have been why she waited to pick up prescription meds. Also if it was Tamiflu you need to start the regimen within 48 hours of exhibiting symptoms.
And tamiflu is not that effective anyway. I doubt it would have prevented her death even if she picked it up and started taking it.
When I was a lowly paid state employee I had to time a lot of small stuff with paydays.
Sometimes that included medicine.
