That is exactly what this is about. If both husband and wife are working, they can’t afford a $116 co-pay? How about family helping them out if necessary? The government is the solution to every problem, need, want, or desire according to liberals. Nobody would dare ask the husband what they spend their money on that $116 is such a stretch.
I guess teachers don’t have credit cards?
Don’t know about anyone else, my life is worth 116 bucks.
You don't understand. They had more pressing needs:
Anybody can afford it, if they make it a priority.
No they didn’t want to waste $116. They thought she’d be ok. Kind of like driving tipsy. You will be on most times but you may actually size a wreck too.
Besides which, who knows if the “medicine” would even have helped?
Everyone can afford $110 if they knew it was LIFE OR DEATH. But I too might avoid some expensive antibiotic if I thought all I needed was a week in bed and Id be fine. Hell, if I knew I would die if I dont take something Id come up somehow with $100k. Im too important to other people to die.
Poor thing. Poor family and poor students. They will be devastated and scared.
I can afford it but $800 for a bottle of pills is absurd. If there was no other choice, I'd pay it but if a $4 bottle of baby aspirin does about the same thing, it's a no-brainer.
BTW, we have an excellent health plan but the option I chose requires the first $3,000 each year to be 100% out of pocket before the insurance kicks in. After $4,750, we are covered 100% on everything for rest of year. I save money into my HSA account to cover the out-of-pocket. Still, I'm not foolish about it. If I have to pay something out of pocket, I will.
Regarding the flu, it is said that a clove of garlic a day wards off the flu. I have at least one clove of garlic a day and will even eat it raw at the end of the day if I have to but I've never had the flu since doing that. Garlic seems to work very well. I'm now getting ready for the "going to bed with garlic on my breath" jokes.
