The reason that the budget bill was a compromise between Republicans and Democrats, he said, was that “we need 60 votes in the Senate which are not there.” The solution? “[E]either elect more Republican Senators in 2018 or change the rules now to 51%.”
He needs to challenge McConnell on spending and the wall.
Or veto it and get his shutdown.
