I didn’t consider Bill Clinton for my list. But I think you might be right. He disgraced the presidency like no one before him.

As for Carter, I try to give him a break. I think he’s a good and honorable man, but naive, and in way over his head. Sort of like putting an earnest Sea Cadet in charge of the Fifth Fleet. Bad things are bound to happen.

I always thought Carter was just incredibly naive, but I have seen information since then that leads me to believe he was not as clean as we had all been led to believe.

Even if the man's heart was in the right place, his naivete made him a disaster for the nation. 1 million people died in the Iraq/Iran war that would not have happened had Carter supported the Shah instead of throwing him under the bus.

Nuclear armed Iran is Carter's legacy, and we are still dealing with the utter disaster he left behind in world political affairs.
