I don’t want to see a photo of Trump saluting US troops as they march by. And there are some things you can’t “unsee.” I can imagine it being used as a hit ad in the next election.

Better to spend the money on training the troops or supporting their families than a show which inevitably will be marred by Never Trumpers and Antifa getting a publicity gold mine. And MSM will cut away to show the protestors downtown burning a car rather than the actual parade. No point in this.

C’mon! Our guys couldn’t do the Nork robotic goosestep if they tried. And their parades emphasize sheer numbers of massed uniformed drones with an occasional mobile missile launcher thrown in.
Soviet parades emphasized tanks & rocket launchers over troops. They drove them through Red Square then circled the block & drove them by again to give the impression of endless numbers of tanks.
IMO the parade DJT has in mind is (I hate to use the word) inclusive of all services and types of equipment, with maybe battalion size march units representing divisions with a flyover by combat aircraft in formation.
In other words, a typical Veterans’ Day parade as seen in state capitals. Trump wants a Washington D.C. backdrop for his which will make liberals go strawberry fields, just as he intended.
