When the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, said on Tuesday that his investigators had no direct evidence that Hillary Clintons email account had been successfully hacked, both private experts and federal investigators immediately understood his meaning: It very likely had been breached, but the intruders were far too skilled to leave evidence of their work.
Mr. Comey described, in fairly blistering terms, a set of email practices that left Mrs. Clintons systems wide open to Russian and Chinese hackers, and an array of others. She had no full-time cybersecurity professional monitoring her system. She took her BlackBerry everywhere she went, sending and receiving work-related emails in the territory of sophisticated adversaries. Her use of a personal email domain was both known by a large number of people and readily apparent.
Answer: Hillary's server was HACKED, Christopher Stevens' plans and whereabouts became known.. The rest is history. Have they found the MISSING EMAILS on Hillary's server from the weeks leading up to Benghazi and shortly thereafter?? Hmmmm???
It’s purpose WAS to be hacked, for pay-to-play.
Thanks. So BOTH the Bkackberry & her bathroim servers were unsecure?
Imagine the conversation between Putin and the head of the FSB when he asks, “Comrade, did you hack into Hillary’s unprotected bathroom server?” And the response is, “No, Vova, but we hacked into the DNC and Podesta’s email and we learned that Chelsea is an entitled brat who runs to her dad when others are mean to her.” How well would that go over? The fact that we haven’t heard of a hack is more troubling. The Russians and the Chinese and others are not going to announce they hacked a server; they’ll just use what they learn in their dealings with the U.S. Even a Romanian hacker in his underwear hacked Sid Blumenthal’s email that first exposed that Hillary had a private server in the first place. One would think even he was able to hack into her server so I think it can be assumed she was most definitely hacked.
Imho the nyt statement that there is no direct evidence that a server is hacked implies that the hackers were skilled in covering their tracks is false. The explanation leaves imho totally open the possibility of a physical breach by a person with physical access to the target system. It would be my intuition that a physical breach is the most likely explanation. Maybe I am missing something.
