I don't think it is that simple.
People like Adam Schiff, and so many others, have sold their souls. They have take bribes, and have committed crimes that have been covered up. They are "owned" by the dark powers. They simply cannot walk away. It isn't that easy.
True about Schiff and other "investigators" like Warner, my own completely corrupt senator. However there will eventually be Democrats who will be pursuaded by the evidence and support investigation and prosecution. The party is teetering already after Schumer screwed them over on the shutdown.
