A federal judge has stayed the lethal injection of an Alabama inmate in order to have an independent medical expert review his claims that he is too sick to be executed.
[Snip]
A lawyer for Doyle Lee Hamm has argued that lethal injection would be unconstitutionally cruel because lymphoma and hepatitis C have compromised Hamm's veins. His lawyer also argued it would be inhumane to execute someone battling cancer.
[Snip]
Hamm was scheduled to be executed Feb. 22 for the 1987 murder of motel clerk Patrick Cunningham.

... it would be more humane to let this murderer be eaten alive by cancer than to give him an overdose of painkillers.
Put him out of his misery.
You’d do it for a dog that sick, why no mercy for a human?
it would be inhumane to execute someone battling cancer.
OMG! I wonder if he was “humane” to the person he killed?
He’s about to serve the rest of his sentence.
Yeah, lets spend a few million to get him healthy again before we give him the needle.
Someone’s too sick to be executed? Huh!
What am I missing here?
He cold bloodedly killed a hotel clerk during a robbery in 1987. 31 years ago. The POS has cancer because he’s been alive too long. That’s what’s inhumane.
No such thing as “too sick to be executed.”
Somebody tell the judge there’s no such thing as being too sick to be executed. What’s next, send him to the best cancer hospital and hire him a personal trainer?
This murderer has lived some 30 years longer
than the female he killed.
correction;
female s/b clerk
*facepalm*
By this logic, lets argue Shes to pregnant to have an abortion.
Hang him high
Perhaps there is a surplus of cancer treatment drugs there. The simplest solution is a bullet between the eyes, he won’t feel a thing, the surplus cancer drugs could be used for those who DESERVE it and the cost to keep the bastard alive for another 25-30 years can be avoided. My vote? The bullet!
This makes absolutely no sense. Assisted suicide for people who are suffering from terminal illness is okay, but executing somebody who deserves it and is suffering is not?
But we are fighting to make it legal to do this to people who aren’t on Death Row.
Fine. Double tap to the head and double tap to the heart. Considering what he's going through, that's mercy.
Just give him two 40 gr lead pellets (in the back of the head) and plant him in the morning.
A long description of the event that occurred
which this execution is the basis for.
