“There is no reason to identify as other than your given gender unless you truly feel that way inside your brain.”

What do kids really know about their feelings when their brains (minds) continue to develop beyond the legal age? I remember how in Jr. High School (early ‘70s) there were quite a few kids who had actually done “it” and were still doing it, but now looking back on it they might have feelings of regret. It’s one thing to regret having been caught smoking, shoplifting or throwing snowballs at cars but it’s another thing to regret having lost your virginity before your time with the help of some kind of “sexual revolution” that was really supposed to be for adults only.

RE gender and orientation, “normal” kids are pretty clear from a very young age. I’m a boy, l am comfortable in my skin being a boy, I am attracted to girls. So many kids today feel profoundly uncomfortable with their outer gender, their brain identifying with the opposite one. And there have always been gays, maybe today there are more gays, meaning that there is epigenetic (environmental) influence during the prenatal window when gender and sexual orientation is created.

This example you’re giving doesn’t show any neurological damage or pathology. Of course people have sexual feelings too young for the social aspects of sex, and some make that mistake or are driven into the mistake by trusted adults. That is a different subject.
