I fear Greeks even when they bear gifts.
Readings of Islam based on early chapters of the Koran are kinder and gentler than those based on later chapters. I get the idea of “sweet talk the Jews then jihad jump all over them.” Christianity doesn’t have that written into the bible.
True enough, but along with all the jihad jumping in the Koran, there’s also Surah 17 and 5, as interpreted by Sheikh Pallazzi. It’s not much, but Surah 17 is also the Surah about mad Mo ascending to heaven and going to the “furthest mosque” that’s the basis of them plopping down two mosques on the Temple Mount and getting all jihad jumpy every time a Jew utters a prayer or waves a palm frond around on a holiday there.
If an Imam can be found in Israel who might be persuaded to adopt this interpretation of the Koran, which is really straight forward, life and the peace process could be made so much easier. Persuasion might take the form of clandestine favors or outright bribery, or just a Shin Bet agent, who knows his stuff
and is in deep cover, talking to the man.
