In your opinion, would getting rid of the 17th Amendment take care of that problem or do we continue with the popularity contest among millionaires and choose the lesser of two evils, as always?
The 17th should never have been passed. It is why we have no state representation in DC and why things are so screwed up.
It is at the very heart of it.
