To: a little elbow grease

It is a BS claim that Trump has put a chilling effect on political discourse. That happened in 2008. Of course, the left did not see it that way, since it was their token candidate that was elected to the WH.

But I know from experience that many mixed D and R families that used to discuss and debate politics prior to 2008 stopped once the cipher was elected.

And most of us did not like the usurper and his policies, but it wasn’t something that made it impossible for us to live our lives, unlike most of the anti-Trumpers. What a sad and pathetic existence they must have.

Also, it was good to see the “rednecks” help them out when they were in trouble. But I think the author failed to make the connection that most Trump supporters are like that, and not the troglodytes the left imagines them (us) to be.

Unsaid but strongly suggested is that she would not reciprocate the spontaneous generosity or basic civility. She as much as says so.

I live in a fairly leftist environment and so deal with them on a daily basis. I encounter many who are exactly like this. They could be pitiable but I’m too busy laughing at their silly temper tantrums.
