At 74, he’s only +4 to Trump.
At 74, he can get in the Director’s slot and clean out the rot in about one year, then establish reforms over the next two years that will be enduring. Then he can groom a new cadre of leaders.
Kallstrom is eminently qualified and has the right stuff to recover the reputation of the Bureau.
If he wants to do it, that would be good.
And what I wrote about the integrity of others? Those were only guesses based on what I’ve read from their biographies. I don’t know them. We’ll see what happens.
I’ll go ahead and say a little more, because it’s probably already known. Guessing that everyone involved, including at least one of the two that I mentioned earlier, will be fed to the House (worse than being fired). But the process has a long way to go.
